Anti-Factory RESTOCK: The New Regime!

Whew! I'm in the process of upgrading my whole site, and instead of waiting until it's finished I'm opening the store with a new division: check out VINTAGE items alongside the handmade ones! Trust me, I come across some pretty darn amazing things in my search for vintage fabrics, and most of the time I've had to sadly put back some lovelies due to my not being able to use them in my own sewing. BUT! Now that has changed as they'll be offered up in the vintage section :)
I was an ebay seller of vintage ladies' clothes for a few years under the name "roto-pop" (2003-4, do you know me???), so it's sort of like a flashback all over again. My lovely guy Kurt is helping me manage the vintage division as there is NO way i could do all this alone.
PLEASE NOTE: VINTAGE ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE! We do our best to only sell items that we ourselves would wear and think are really cool. Feel free to ask questions if you have any about an item--we're real nice! There IS a full return policy on all handmade items, however, so don't you worry your pretty heads over that :)
So! Look and browse and hopefully snag a goodie or two...Am I silly to not keep some of these??? Eegads!

On another note, I have not done the photoshop guillotine trick on my head (you know, where sellers who are modelling their wares cut off their heads). I'm trying an experiment to see if i can stand seeing my face in these shots. I think it's actually pretty embarassing, since I have goofy expressions a lot of the time (i cut *some* of those!). Kurt thinks it's fun to have faces, but I'm not necessarily sold on it. We'll see...I may go incognito after all! ;p

I don't see the new updates. =(
hmmmm! very weird--someone emailed me with a similar situation a while ago...we couldn't figure out what it was because everything shows up on other computers and people go about happily seeing things. have you tried to "refresh" my homepage?
argh! does anyone else have any suggestions about this? i can't think of why new pages wouldn't show up on some folks' computers...! let me know if it somehow "fixes" itself for you, OK?
ok, i see why it was difficult for me to find your latest updates. the shop vintage page just isn't as apparent as the shop handmade page. if you go to your main page and click on "shop" the page will automatically transfer your viewers to all of your handmade items, but ONLY your handmade items. if you want your viewers to see your vintage items, have them click on any of the links above (i.e. "info", "kudos", and "archive") to see an option for the "shop vintage" link.
maybe it would help to have this link available on your main page too. hope this helps.
ooooh, girl! i just checked all the new goods. go on with your bad self! :-D your site is explosive!
have you ever thought of doing ebay?
lady s. you look adorable & everything looks great.
freckle's orders: no cutting your head off!!!
Ya, I agree with Jenny as a feminist. But when I think of actually showing my own face, I'm horrified. Keep at it if you can. You are gorgeous, dear Stephanie!
I miss your handmade archive. Is it going to be making a comeback?
your face looks fine! someone's gotta be the inspiration for all the women hung up on body/beauty issues so rock on with your real and beautiful self!
Nice stuff again!
I hate to be all 'broken record', but... are you still thinking of doing guys clothes? please?
hey everyone, thanks for your words of encouragement! i dunno why I/we get all self-conscious about putting our faces "out there" on the internet. either that, or we want to be really choosy about it and show only the "good" ones. i think j hit it on the nail when putting it into a feminist context...like, headless women are essentially anonymous headless women, right??? i admire those who choose to show their faces and smile proudly, and at the same time, like j, feel slightly horrified at the prospect. bah! i'll get over it, it's a trivial thing to think about :)
on another note, what still weirds me out is thinking that my students may stumble across these images and i'll be known as the professor who hawks clothes on the internet--ha ha! well, we do what we hafta to make a living, don't we?
oh, and YES the archive of handmade clothes will be back soon! and tyler, i rememmber you asked me about guy clothing a while back and i promised to deliver and--ulp!--have not done so yet. guy clothes are intimidating...if you were to have guy clothes, what would you wanna see???
thanks again everyone for your support!
it's really hard to say what I'd like to see! You do a lot of excellent work! Quite a ways back you had some red sweaters that I loved (that's horribly vague, I know), as a particular example of one of my favourite things. I guess when the archive is back I'll figure out exactly what I'm thinking of.
