mailing list service?
whew! i'm just now starting to come back from the land of the dead (or the land of the extreme cold, whichever you prefer to call it). needless to say the journey was not pleasant but i think i've started down the exit ramp already...
HEY, i have a business question for all you other website crafter/seller/blogger people out there...what mailing list service do you use? it has come to my attention that i have completely maxed out my mail limit when i send out my anti-factory email announcements on eudora, so i need to find some other kind of service to handle my email lists! i want to avoid the free services that tack on weird ads at the end, because personally i just think this is irritating and annoying.
any suggestions? what works for you????
much appreciated!

hey stephanie. this has nothing to do with the post. sorry!
but it's worth telling!
i was spotted last night. actually my sweater was. a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said, "is that anti-factory?" i was at the low concert in philadelphia. i just moved here a few weeks ago from florida to brave the (right now mild) winter (as i said i'm from florida, we don't have seasons), sport anti-factory sweaters, and be with my beau (finally, its been long distance for a good two years now!). so i was really happy. it's the first time one of my anti-factory pieces has been identified and spotted. although, i do receive so many wonderful compliments for them! you're a talented lady! no lie! and the two of us ladies bonded over our hand-made anti-factory gear! so now they are not just a piece of fashion but an ice breaker too (oh so helpful to a girl feeling a little lost in one of those big cities way up in the north east!)
sincerely,
kristen
hi kristen! whoa, i am totally thrilled and tickled--i had to run to my boyfriend to tell him about this when i read your post! truly, it's great to be recognized, even at an individual level, so thanks for relating this to me! wow, i feel like a celebrity or something :)
i think i calculated that i've probably at best made about 600 or so items (at the *most*) which means that when you think about it, what *really* are the chances of running into someone? it's totally possible, maybe even expected, especially among ladies who like similar things (music/clothes/etc) but still...
thanks for telling me this--i'm pleased as punch! :D
Group Mail is a good program for mailing lists.
thunderbird is my absolute favorite...i am not sure about limits but it is open source and made by the people that make firefox. it is free to download and there are no ads...
p.s. if i could get to your site before all the pieces sell out i might have the pleasure of owning one of your beautiful sweaters...i guess good things come to those who wait...keep up the good work.
thanks everyone, for the mailing list suggestions--i'm in the process of looking into it and hopefully will stop becoming frustrated with my situation :)
