virtual studio visit

OK, so it's not exactly like coming by and having a studio visit, but i thought it would be fun to share my limited version of one...i've been trying to be better about documenting my own work space and habits, and made a panorama shot of my studio. i share about 1000 square feet with two other artists and my part of it is shown. it's in an industrial area of San Francisco on the second floor, and the building houses other artists, woodworkers, a glass studio, architects, dance studios, etc.

I just learned how to use this "popup" function, but for some reason the large panorama picture seems to "snap back" to the left after you've scrolled to the right. gotta work it out, but you get my drift!

That was a really cool idea. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I enjoyed it. What neighborhood in SF is it? I'm looking forward to moving to the city next month.

Hi V, how's it going? you must be so excited to be coming to town soon...the studio i rent is a work-only (no live) and is in the Bayview/Hunter's Point area of town (on the south side, off of Third Street, and on Yosemite Ave). It's about a ten-minute drive from my house in the the Outer Mission area. I used to live in the Mission district proper, but we moved farther away after the rents got way out of control and we wanted a bigger place. The Outer Mission is super un-hip but I totally love it that way, and SF is so small in general that it's not like it's super far from the action.

Email me if you want any recommendations, etc., for specific places/neighborhoods to live: stephanie (at) anti-factory.com

cheers!
