Anti-Factory RESTOCK: Grafica Maximus!

Alrighty, i'ssup! go here :D

I've already gotten some great responses to the "Navy Chickadee" top style, so there will be more of these...my tastes can change rather quickly and I'm starting to lean towards the more "bolder" styles and colors as opposed to the uber-floral (well, I *still* likes 'em, so they'll be around). but that's the luxury of being a one-off sewer--I can change change change if I wanna!

Oh and hey: do you have any style requests? I've been meaning to add some kind of poll component to my website so I can ask folks what types of styles they like of mine (i.e: floral, frilly, doily, bold, solid colors, patterns, cropped, long, jackettes, tops, sweaters, etc.)

What do you want to see more of from me? Don't be shy--let's share!

hi there. the new tops are super cute! i agree, the chickadee top is top notch. i love the poofy sleeves, and you've done them so well. that top would also look great w/ the flutter sleeves. i'm a big fan of the flutter sleeves.
keep up the great work!

I love the obi-belt/kimono tops and, of course, the dresses. I also really like the sweater vests. And, I love bold colors also-- especially red/white/black combos.

I love the puff sleeves with v-necks and buttons. I also completely adore the apple shirts with obi belts from a while back- I totally I wanted one of those sooo bad!!! I also love the urchin style sweater/vest with leaves....

thanks for the feedback, guys...sometimes i wonder if I'm doing things too "girlie" and need to sort of "grow up" a bit. i think i may introduce a few more streamlined styles and bring back the obi belted tops for the fall. while i still like frilly, it can also get a bit, uh, baby-like sometimes.

to the rest of you: keep the suggestions coming! it's great to hear from ya'll!

theyre not too girly. and even if they were, hey, they sell out in five minutes... so, someones digging them! i think they're perfect for your audience. and if you did "grow up," people would still like the new stuff. :)

love the look of the kimono style and obi belt. i also love the shrugs but am wondering if they would fit - since my 'girls' seem to get in the way - (am a 34 D) - hard to get your stuff - do you ever do custom orders?

I'm almost completely sure that if the chickadee top was still available when I stopped by the site, I would have purchased it (and that's saying a lot, because I usually only pay thrift store prices for clothes). Every single thing about that top was appealing to me. I love the mix of stripes and tiny patterned or floral fabrics in coordinating, but not exactly matching, colors.

hi fizzlepop--regarding bust size: my stuff should fit you! I'm not sure what a 34D measures out in inches, but I make the tops up to generally about 40" around (or sometimes bigger, even), so take out a measuring tape and measure your widest part around the bust and compare to what I list on each item. Also, the reason I work mostly in cotton jersey is because it's generally VERY stretchy and can accomodate different folks. Anyhow, if for some reason you ever purchase something that doesn't fit, it's all refundable and returnable, so don't worry...!

alas, i don't do custom orders since i'm such a small-scale business--sorry!

hiya jenny--yep, i think i'm heading in the more graphic direction for fall, with bolder colors and weird color combinations. and the chickadee style is indeed making a comeback since i really love the way it turned out...thanks for the feedback and keep yer eyes peeled ;)

i have to agree with everyone and fawn over the chickadee top. it's crazy good. you did a top in maybe your last batch that was bright blue with a doily on it, it might be my favorite all-time anti-factory piece. although it is hard to choose. i'm going to make a fashion inspiration blog entry later today. hopefully you'll see some things to work with. i'm also interested in belts. i bet you could make some crazy nice belts that would turn a whole jeans 'n tshirt shtick into a something really stunning.

hello,
I like the herringbone and the houndstooth fabrics you've been using. I also like the puff sleeves and the mock turtle neck tops. I would love to see more dresses...but I know they are extremely time consuming to make. I would like to make a request for more Medium/Large tops because there seems to be a lack of those sizes at times. The Kimono style tops you were making before were absolutely beautiful.
Keep up the great work..you are truly talented :)
