Black
Market
2005
Installed
at James Harris Gallery, Seattle, WA
Paper mache covered objects, shelves, framed Fuji chromogenic
lightjet prints
In
this configuration, the "Black Market Series" images
and objects are displayed in direct relation to each other, creating
a friction between the image and what is supposedly represented
within the sculpture. The stepped shelving suggests a shifting,
off-kilter movement of ojbects passing through space, and even
“dislocating” and switching places with the objects.
